Report Menu - Analysis

The Analysis Menu allows you to control which data is displayed in a report and how it is analyzed.

While the Structure Menu determines the layout of the report, the Analysis Menu controls the datasets, columns, periods, and other analysis settings.

The Analysis Menu is located at the top of the report.

Overview of the Analysis Menu

The image above shows the Analysis Menu. The main functions are numbered and explained below.

1. Refresh

Reloads the report from the database while keeping the current settings.

Use this option when:

  • Figures have been updated.

  • Settings have been changed.

  • The report needs to be refreshed.

2. Reset Settings

Restores the report to its default settings.

This includes:

  • Restoring the default Dataset.

  • Removing additional columns.

  • Resetting filters and other settings.

3. Save As

Saves the current report configuration as a new report.

Open in Excel opens the current report in Microsoft Excel.

Link Excelview links the report to an existing Excelview.

5. Category Colors

Changes the color scheme used for categories within the report.

6. Additional Groups

Add extra groups or calculated columns to the report.

For example, you can:

  • Calculate variances.

  • Display totals.

  • Show percentages.

7. Dimension

Break down the report by a specific dimension, such as:

  • Cost Center

  • Project

  • Product

  • Relation

8. Columns

Choose how the report data is displayed.

Columns can be organized by:

  • Period

  • Dimension

  • Entity

9. Periods

Select the accounting periods or months to display in the report.

You can select one or multiple periods.

10. Cost Center

Filter the report by one or more cost centers.

Depending on the report, another dimension may be available instead, such as Project or Relation.

11. Entity

Select which cases you want to include in the filter.

The available options may vary depending on the report type and the selected Dataset. Some functions may be unavailable, while additional options may be displayed.
